SUMMER CAMP & AFRER CARE

In 2020, Arise Academy Camp and Swaliga Foundation partnered to create a world class learning experience through Virtual Camp. Virtual Camp is designed to help close this gap of instruction by assisting students with their academic needs and building upon skills previously mastered. All academic activities are aligned to the Common Core (CCSS) and Next Generation Science (NGSS) standards. Most importantly all activities are engaging, and enjoyable for students. Arise Academy & Swaliga makes learning FUN!!

Arise Academy offers a rigorous academic curriculum that supports children in becoming lifelong learners and innovators. Children will be supported in Literacy skills needed for reading and writing including:

-Fluency
-Vocabulary
-Spelling and Grammar
-Speaking and Listening
-Reading comprehension

Through partnership with the Swaliga Foundation, learners will also actively engage in S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) workshops. Swaliga’s award-winning #STEAMtheBlock curriculum is designed to increase brain health. After participating learners will:

• Develop Problem Solving strategies
• Learn the Engineering Design Process
• Boost Efficacy in Math & Science
• Increase Technology Skills
• Strengthen Creative Thinking abilities

In addition to building Literacy and STEAM skills everyday, learners will also get to experience Cooking, Kung Fu, Spanish, Health and Wellness exercises, Virtual Field Trips and more!
